Welcome to This Old Micro!

2/2/2010 Alert!

Major new features installed today. Go to your "Me" page to configure Email Updates.

If you're interested in old computing technology and the company of others who share your interests, this is the place for you!

This Old Micro is devoted to lovers of antique (or almost antique) computing platforms from micros to mainframes, including hardware, operating systems, programming and programming languages, applications, and games. Users of emulation packages are as welcome as users of the originals.

Registration on the site is free, and provides each user with a full inventory of Web 2.0 and social networking tools, including blog, wiki, forum, document management and much more.

Others can read and participate in the projects you are working on, if you allow it. Others can tag, rate and review your content.

Members can also create groups, organizations, and projects to support special interests, clubs and the like. Of course all these get the full toolset as well.

This Old Micro has a very powerful SEO engine, and content is quickly found by the search engines.

So register and join a group or create your own. Feel free to talk about your retro computing interests and find others with similar interests. Plan a hardware or software project and invite others to participate.

Another major upgrade today, this time to what I think is the final Connect Version 2.0. Included are a number of bug fixes, and several new content areas. Check our Wiki for details on the feature upgrades.
