Whatever happened to the idea of a Public Access Unix network using UUCP. I'd still be interested in trying something out with UUCP, email, and USENET. Did you see the article this morning about Duke shutting down its last USENET server? The end of an era for sure.
I feel more strongly than ever that we should not let USENET die. Although it may never be the huge system it once was, maybe in this case smaller is better.
I'm running an old version of UnixWare on 486 gear. I probably have or can build anything necessary to start communicating. Firewalls, NAT and such are another story :)
Does anyone out there want to play?
