Just upgraded the site for the first time in a while. So there are probably quite a few improvements. Here are some that I can remember:

  • The Forum system has been majorly upgraded. Forums now behave like their commercial counterparts. We have moderators, a nice editor with rich text, sticky posts and more.
  • Videos - each profile now has a videos tab that can aggregate videos from youtube, vimeo, and ustream. The system uses the respective APIs to embed videos behind a thumbnail. All you need to do is suppy some URLs
  • Webcasts - the system manages ustream (and other) realtime broadcasts in special modules.
  • Projects have been improved with Task management, assignments, and an integration between the Plan and the Task displays. Acts more like an Agile or Scrum tool if you want it to.
  • e-Commerce - the system is optionally outfitted with a product catalog, integration with Authorize.net, and real e-Commerce. In addition, there is a "Challenges" module that can be used for one-time monitary or other challenges.
  • CMS features - mostly of use to site administrators, the system now allows us to build several different kinds of content pages that are not "profiles" or attached to profiles. They do use the site's CSS, so have the same look and feel as other pages. These give us a lot of flexibility to create content that wouldn't normally fit in the system's existing structure.

There is more, but I likely won't use even this much here. ConcourseConnect is really one heck of an application.
