Site Overview
This Old Micro is a place for vintage computing enthusiasts to communicate. Over time, I expect that members will post pictures, blogs, wikis and documents about their projects, collections, and interests. I will make sure this site has plenty of disk space (right now we have 1TB of mirroed RAID) to keep a great archive of historical information.
This Old Micro is powered by ConcourseConnect, an open source web 2.0 / social networking product from Concursive Corporation.
Check out he latest functional upgrades to the system.
Background & History
We started in May, 2009 as a vehicle for me to make my collection of archival information available in a coherent way, and to attract new enthusiasts to join and share. I've been slowly adding content ever since.
Now it's time for others to contribute, and the site is set up well for both SEO and for traditional email marketing.
Philosophy & Culture
Pretty much anything goes here.
Exceptions:
- Keep it clean!
- No politics!
- No illegal content of any sort. I know this is sometimes confusing when dealing with antique software. Just use common sense, and ask around if you have doubts.
